Website Policy
Privacy Policy
Effective date — September 4, 2026
Guided Look (“Guided Look,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, scheduling and client-intake process, styling services, and related communications; how we use and share that information; and the choices available to you.
This policy applies to information collected online and in connection with Guided Look services. It does not govern the privacy practices of third-party websites or platforms that have their own policies.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Contact information. Your name, email address, phone number, and other information you use to contact or schedule with us.
- Scheduling and service information. Appointment selections, service history, communications, and information you provide about your styling goals, preferences, lifestyle, wardrobe, or event needs.
- Styling intake information. Questionnaire responses, photographs, body measurements you choose to provide, coloring and appearance-related information, clothing sizes, wardrobe information, and other details reasonably needed to prepare your analysis or styling service.
- Client content. Photos, screenshots, inspiration images, wardrobe images, documents, or other materials you voluntarily send to us.
- Payment-related information. Payment status, transaction amount, and limited billing information made available by the payment provider. Guided Look does not intentionally collect or store your full payment-card or bank-account credentials when a third-party payment processor is used.
- Communications. Emails, contact-form submissions, feedback, reviews, and other communications you send to us.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Guided Look website, the website host and other service providers may automatically collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser or device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and approximate usage information. If analytics or similar website technologies are enabled, they may also use cookies or comparable technologies to help us understand website performance and usage.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide, personalize, and prepare your styling services, including creating analyses, Style Guides, Closet Guides, Shopping Summaries, and recommendations.
- Schedule appointments, confirm bookings, process or verify payments, and communicate with you about your service.
- Respond to questions, support requests, and Discovery Call inquiries.
- Maintain records of prior services so we can support follow-up services and returning clients.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and our business operations.
- Prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, or other harmful activity.
- Comply with applicable law, tax, accounting, recordkeeping, and legal obligations.
- Send marketing or promotional communications only where permitted. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time.
3. Client Photos, Measurements, and Styling Information
Because Guided Look provides highly individualized styling, you may choose to provide photographs, measurements, and other appearance-related information. We use this information to provide the service you requested and to prepare personalized materials for you.
We do not use identifiable client photos, measurements, reviews, or styling information in marketing, social media, Client Transformations, or other public-facing materials without separate permission from the client. Permission to use a review does not automatically include permission to use a client photograph, and vice versa.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising based on your activity across unrelated websites.
We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Service providers. Companies that help us operate the business, such as website hosting, scheduling, video conferencing, email, cloud/file storage, analytics (if enabled), and payment-processing providers. These providers may process information on our behalf under their own contractual and privacy obligations.
- Professional advisers. Lawyers, accountants, insurers, or other professional advisers when reasonably necessary for business or legal purposes.
- Legal and safety purposes. Government authorities, courts, or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or prevent fraud or abuse.
- Business transfer. A successor or potential successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections where applicable.
5. Third-Party Platforms
Guided Look may use or link to third-party platforms such as Calendly, payment processors (for example, Stripe, Venmo, or another provider), video-conferencing services, email providers, cloud-storage providers, or social-media platforms. Information you submit directly to those services is also governed by their privacy policies and terms. Guided Look does not control those third-party practices.
6. Cookies and Online Tracking
The Guided Look website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for website functionality and, if enabled, basic analytics. You can typically adjust cookie settings through your browser. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality.
California Do Not Track Disclosure
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is not a single universally accepted standard for responding to DNT signals, the Guided Look website does not currently respond to DNT signals in a standardized way. Guided Look does not knowingly authorize third parties to collect personally identifiable information about you over time and across unrelated websites for targeted advertising on our behalf. If our tracking practices materially change, this policy will be updated.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Client service files, including submitted photos, questionnaire responses, measurements, and styling notes, are generally retained for up to three (3) years after your last service or meaningful client interaction so we can support follow-up services, unless you ask us to delete them earlier or a longer period is reasonably necessary for legal, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, or security purposes. Transaction and business records may be kept longer where required by law.
8. Your Choices and Privacy Requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that Guided Look maintains about you. You may also ask us to stop sending marketing communications. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and we may retain information where permitted or required by law.
To make a privacy request, email: contact@guidedlook.com
9. California Privacy Notice
California law requires commercial websites that collect personally identifiable information from California consumers to post a privacy policy describing their practices. Guided Look provides the disclosures in this policy for transparency and to describe the categories of information we collect, how we use it, the categories of third parties with whom it may be disclosed, our online-tracking practices, and how you may contact us about your information.
Guided Look does not sell personal information and does not use client information for targeted advertising. If Guided Look becomes subject to additional statutory privacy obligations as the business grows or its data practices change, we will update this policy and provide any additional rights and notices required by applicable law.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain. However, no website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please use reasonable care when transmitting sensitive or personal information online.
11. Children
Guided Look services are intended for adults. The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can address it.
12. Third-Party Links
The website may contain links to third-party websites, retailers, social platforms, or other services. We are not responsible for the privacy, content, security, or practices of third parties. Review their policies before providing information to them.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our services, technology, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of the policy will be updated when we make material changes. The current version will be posted on the Guided Look website.
